A Bit About Us…

The Murray Osteopathic Clinic Story

Andrew Murray was born and raised at Sewing Shields Farm on Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland. His family bred Galloway, Blue Grey and White Shorthorn cattle and Blackface sheep. He attended Haydon Bridge high school and after his A-levels he began working on the family farm. Playing rugby for Tynedale Rugby Club was a weekly occurrence, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Early in his rugby career he became injured and would seek osteopathic treatment as it worked for him and ever since he has been fascinated by the philosophy and techniques used to get him back to fit health. When his rugby career at Tynedale Rugby Club came to an end he began studying to become an osteopath. After five years of training, Andrew reached his goal of becoming a fully qualified Osteopathic physician from Staffordshire University.

Andrew Murray is a board-certified Osteopathic physician and a member of the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) who is based in Northumberland, UK. Andrew specialises in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, dedicated to providing effective, nonsurgical hands-on approach to diagnose, treat, and prevent pain, illness, and injury in adults and children.
